Jim Corbett National Park – Ramnagar

Ramnagar is the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park. It is a small and beautiful city situated in hills alongside the river. If you love to see wildlife in its most natural and primal form then you should come and visit Ramnagar at least once. However, Ramnagar is more than a place for just wildlife enthusiast. It has Garjiya Devi Temple, Tumaria Dam as well as a Yoga retreat. I booked a cab from Delhi to Ramnagar. On road, we were accompanied by beautiful view and as we had hired a cab, we were able to focus on scenic beauties. This journey brought out my inner traveler at Jim Corbett National Park – Ramnagar.

Garjiya Devi Temple :
Our next stop was Garjiya Devi Temple which is a sacred place for people of Ramnagar.  The temple was situated over a large rock in the Kosi River and is one of the most famous temples in Ramnagar. After visiting the temple, we went for a walk alongside the river and let me tell you it was so much calming and peaceful.
Then we went to Tumaria Dam which was a bit far from Ramnagar but still worth the ride.

Yoga Retreat :

Our last stop was at Shiva Yoga Retreat center which provided us with blissful experience of meditation and self-exploration. We were surrounded by the voices of little sweet birds, the trickling waters of the holy river and be absorbed in the breath-taking view of the jungle location.
We also saw so many Litchi Farms in Ramnagar which is also famous at international level.
