Panipat
was the scene of three pivotal battles in the Indian history. Panipat is first
recorded in the Mahabharata as one of the 5 villages that the Pandavas demanded
from Duryodhana. Panipat is a city of textiles and carpets. It is the biggest
center for quality blankets and carpets in India and has a handloom weaving
industry.

is the Capital territory of India. It has a population of about 11 million and a
metropolitan population of about 16.3 million, making it the second most
populous city and second most populous urban agglomeration in India.
